Melbourne Heathen Moot

Melbourne Heathen Moot is a gathering of like minded individuals who meet on a monthly basis in Melbourne Australia. Our primary interest is in the northern Pagan tradition, sometimes called Ásatrú or Heathenry.

We will be sitting out the front of the cafe, or inside somewhere if it’s too cold/hot.

Please note this is an 18+ event.

Visit the Melbourne Heathen Moot Facebook Page for more information.

Free Autumn Equinox (Mabon) Open Circle/Ritual

This circle is held in honour of Mabon (Autumn Equinox), marking a day of balance with night and day of equal length.

Open circles are Rituals held at Mystical Dragon and are open to anyone to get involved, as long as they are respectful. Mystical Dragon usually holds Open Circles in honour of every second Sabbat (the Solstices and Equinox’s).

We call the corners (Air, Fire, Water, and Earth) and cast circle (creating a protected and sacred space to work in) at every ritual. Our focus changes for each Open Circle gathering. High Priestess Amanda leads the ritual in a way that those who have not participated in a circle before will be able to easily follow. Alternatively, attendees are welcome to sit and watch the ritual rather than participate.

Children 13 years and older are welcome to attend provided they are accompanied by an adult and behave responsibly.

Attendees of Moon Rituals at Mystical Dragon are welcome to bring an item to charge on the altar during ritual (this may be a crystal, item of jewellery, a magickal tool, or anything else you deem appropriate to charge with positive energy). You will be asked to place your item on the side altars before the ritual starts, and take the item with you at ritual completion.

At Mystical Dragon there is always the option to watch rather than participate in the circle, however everyone is guided when and where to turn etc so that no one participating gets left out. And then everyone is welcome to stay for a cuppa and share some food and socialise with like-minds once we have finished.

Please be aware rituals begin at 7:00pm sharp! The door will be locked at this time and late comers will not be admitted.

These are FREE events usually last between forty five minutes and one hour depending on the size of the group. You do not need to book for this event.

The evening will end with some feasting so participants are welcome to bring a plate of finger food to share. Tea and coffee will be provided for those who would like to stay awhile to socialise.

Mystical Dragon firmly believes that the merry making is for after ritual. Anyone attending our open circles who appears to be under the influence of any substance may be ejected from the premises. Mystical Dragon reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.

Held at Mystical Dragon, 22 Heversham Drive, Seaford Victoria.

Mystical Dragon’s Autumn Equinox Focus:
Like the Autumn leaves that are beginning to change colour and fall from the trees, we will look within and do some releasement work of our own so that we are more able to rebuild and restore our own inner power. We will be working with both the God and Goddess in this ritual.

Participants are encouraged to dress in Autumn colours in honour of the season.

Crystal Grids Workshop

Learn to unlock the potential of crystal grids! Used on their own crystals have energy and power, but when combined in a crystal grid their effectiveness is greatly enhanced and can help super charge your focus! Crystal Grids combine crystals placed with purpose utilising specific symbols and patterns. To get the most out of your crystal grids they need to be done with knowledge, so that the design you use will focus the universal energy in the right way. There are many times when a single crystal can be all that is required for a particular need. Properly prepared and used crystals can be highly effective little friends that will help us with our requests. But sometimes you feel you need a bit more. You might need to tune, further amplify, combine or shape a crystals energy with sacred symbols and other tools to help manifest and create the outcome you are looking for. Crystal grids are brilliant for this. This short course will help unlock this understanding for you so that you can go away and start working with effective crystal grids for yourself!

**Crystal grids vs carrying crystals
**Objectives/focuses with crystal grids
**Utilising other tools in your grid

The Sabbat of Autumn Equinox (Mabon) Workshop

Connect to the Sabbat of Autumn Equinox in creative and practical ways by making your very own corn dolly, a beautiful, magickal tool that represents the Goddess and can be used in this celebration as well as others throughout the wheel of the year. Decorate your corn dolly in preparation for your very own Autumn Equinox celebration and connect with the Goddess Ceres through meditation.

The eight Sabbats of a Witch represent the turning of the Wheel of the year and honour not only the current season but also the stages in the eternal life cycle of the Goddess and God. Mabon, or Autumn Equinox, is a Witches’ Sabbat where day and night are of equal length. The God nears his death and the Goddess prepares for his rebirth. The bounty of the harvest is celebrated in wine festivals, knowing that soon Winter will bring uncertainty. It is the second of the Harvest festivals and is associated with the reaping of corn, grains and other foods that can be harvested at this time.

Topics Covered In The Sabbat of Mabon Workshop:
**What is the Wheel of the Year?
**What is the Sabbat of Mabon all about?
**Traditional associations/correspondences for the Sabbat of Mabon
**Be inspired with suggestions for your own Mabon altar
**Rituals, spells and customs for the Sabbat of Mabon
**Connect with Deity associated with Mabon: the Goddess Ceres
**Connect with this Sabbat creatively by making a corn dolly

About Your Facilitator:
Raylee Pandur has always had a fascination for Witchcraft and believed she was a witch from a very young age. As a child she spent much time searching books for mention of witches marks like palm crosses and specially placed skin blemishes. With her heightened intuition and feeling different to her friends she ventured in to the world of magick quietly and secretly as she was too fearful of openly embracing it. However, she is now fully immersed in the Mystical Dragon community and loves practising everything she has learnt during and beyond the Embracing Witchcraft Program. It is a blessing to now be able to participate in Mystical Dragon not just as a perpetual student but as a teacher too!

This workshop can be studied individually or as part of the Embracing Witchcraft Certificate Program.

Only $60p/person to attend and bookings are essential. To book your place contact Mystical Dragon on 03 9782 5091 or for more information or to make your booking online click this link:

Monthly Hills Pagan Coffee Meets

The Hills coffee meets are friendly and inclusive, and open to pagans of all paths and practices. We enjoy diversity and welcome those of all levels of experience, and from anywhere – you don’t have to be a Hills resident to come along.

The coffee meets are not, however, suitable for children – even when accompanied by a guardian – so please help us to keep them a relaxed, grown-up space for adults.

Meets are held at the Earthly Pleasures Cafe in Belgrave, Victoria (Australia), on the first or second Sunday of each month (please check the PCV calendar or Hillsmeets page for upcoming dates). EP has ample parking and is very close to Belgrave train station, and the Belgrave bus bays. They cater to vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, and the dietary-restricted, serve beautiful food, and make excellent coffee. Ask at the front for “the pagans”, or just look for a big table with an owl on it.

Accessibility: unfortunately, the cafe we are currently meeting at is not wheelchair-accessible (if you are in a wheelchair and would like to attend, please let us know, and we can find a more suitable venue); there are a small number of stone steps at both front and back entrances. If we can help you negotiate these, please let us know, and we will do so gladly.

Pagans in the Pub Melbourne

Pagans in the Pub Melbourne is the original Pagan monthly meet up in Melbourne. We meet every month on the first Saturday at the historical Grandview Hotel in Fairfield.

The event is free and open to everyone who is curious or interested in modern Paganism and witchcraft. Children accompanied by adults are welcome. Come and join us for a casual meal, coffee or a drink.

You will find us outside in the beer garden if the weather is fine, but indoors in the bar just off the car park if it is wet or cold so come along and join us. If you have trouble finding us or would like to know more, please ring or text Philippe on 0402 437 086.

Visit the Pagans in the Pub Melbourne Facebook page for more information.
